I remember when Jason and I were in the very beginning stages of wedding planning. I had no idea where to start! I totally Googled everything, looking for lists of venue options until finally finding the perfect, unique venue for us (The Red House). I know how stressful wedding planning can be, so I put together a list of the top 25 Buffalo NY wedding venues to make your search simpler!
Buffalo, New York is a pretty awesome place to get married!!
From the beautiful, historic options within the the city; to the renovated waterfront; amazing arts district; endless locally owned restaurants and breweries; and the small town vibe of the South Towns; Buffalo has something for every couple!
Here are some of the amazing wedding venues in Buffalo, NY and the surrounding areas in Western New York that I love:
Knox Farm State Park is a beautiful property with over 600 acres of fields and amazing views. The Mansion at Knox is a gorgeous property that you can rent for your wedding day. You do have to bring in a wedding planner for this venue, but it’s great because you can make it whatever you want. It’s beautiful but also a blank canvas, so you can go in so many different directions. This is such a unique wedding venue and one of my faves! You can check out a fun Knox Farm Estate wedding that I shot here.
The Orchard Park Country Club is a really cool wedding venue, and not your typical golf course! Not only is the property beautiful, but you have access to the greens right out the door. It’s so nice that all of your guests get to have cocktails and appetizers right there on the golf course.
This venue is gorgeous! The barn on site is over 150 years old, and they have almost 100 acres of fields and beautiful space for photos. Everything happens right there on the property! The owners are super hands on and really committed to their couples having their best day ever. The grounds are also constantly improving – it just keeps getting better and better! There are 2 different houses that you can get ready at right on the property (bridal and groom suites), and they have both indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies, and multiple locations. The open barn is an awesome outdoor option during nice weather for cocktail hour. This wedding at HayLoft in the Grove was so much fun!
11) The Foundry
Another one of my fave Buffalo wedding venues, the Park Country Club is super high end, classic, and so so pretty! It’s an old, beautifully designed historic building with high ceilings and great indoor + outdoor spaces for ceremonies. The food is beyond amazing and they serve events for up to 300 guests. If you’re planning your dream wedding – these are the weddings that happen here!!
The Webb is so great! It’s an amazing wedding venue if you want to keep things in one place. The hotel is upstairs, and the venue is downstairs – and they also have rooftop ceremony options! It’s a really nice experience for the flow of your day when everything can happen at one place. There are also lots of unique photo locations close by if you want to get variety in your wedding day photos!
This Ellicottville, New York wedding venue is so cool, especially if you’re a lover of craft beer! You get married right inside the brewery where the beer gets made. It also makes for a very unique ceremony backdrop! They have really good beer, and an open-air upstairs area where you can hang right where they make the beer. Not only is this a fun venue, it’s a really cool experience for your guests! Kate + Ona’s Ellicottville Brewery wedding was so unique!
This church-turned-venue is so gorgeous and has such a cool story behind it! It was built in the 1870s and was a functioning church until the 1980s. It started to get run down and was set to be torn down in 1995, but Ani DiFranco bought it and converted it into a music and wedding venue. It’s such a beautiful, artistic space, with cathedral ceilings and a big wrap around balcony overlooking the main floor. You can literally getting married in an old church and then have your reception and party in the same space.
This beautiful, giant residence is right on Lake Eerie and has the most amazing views! There are big open windows so you can see the lake from inside. When you rent the mansion for your wedding day, a full staff are included and you get access to the indoor and outdoor space. The outdoor space is great for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour before the reception, and they even have a cigar bar outside!
