When Chrissy asked if I was interested in traveling to Beach Haven, NJ to photograph her intimate beach wedding, I was ALL IN!! And wow you guys, this wedding day was truly what dreams are made of!! I’m so excited to share with you the story of this wonderful wedding day!!
Chrissy and Matt’s families came together for a weeklong celebration at the beach!! On the morning of their wedding, I arrived to the house at 5:15 am, it was still dark out, but the whole house was lit up. I was greeted by very excited family members as I walked through this magnificent home. This space was truly made for big family gatherings, and I imagined all of the celebrations that have taken place here. This time, a wedding celebration!!
Chrissy was in the kitchen putting flowers in her girl’s hair, as her mother, sister, and aunts tied ribbons around the bouquets that they had arranged. We walked barefoot a block down the street to the beach. The kids lit candles and arranged them in a circle on the beach as the guests arrived.
Matt and Chrissy’s ceremony took place right before sunrise. They were surrounded by their children and close family, and they were married by Chrissy’s mom. It was beautiful!!! There was a fog over the beach We then watched the sunrise over the ocean before heading back to the beach house for brunch.
I left after brunch and spent the day at the beach with my family before returning to capture their dinner celebration. The evening included the kids playing, the adults cooked an amazing homemade meal, enjoyed appetizers and drinks on the wrap around porch, and then had a BIG family dinner!! It was truly so special to witness. And, when you thought it couldn’t get better, the evening ended with a 4 layer ICE CREAM CAKE!!! ? ?

When I arrived to photograph the second part of the day, all the kids were sitting on the steps drinking free slurpies. You can’t let 7/11 day go by without a slurpie!!
