Congratulations Joelle and Graham!! This sweet couple planned their wedding celebration in the heart of East Aurora, NY. It was the most beautiful August day here in Western New York that started out pretty hot, but cooled down as a storm rolled by in the distance. Check out the moody skies in the ceremony photos! It was pretty cool!
The day began at the Lofts at 42 North, where the Joelle and Graham spent the morning getting ready each surrounded by their wedding party. They then met at Knox Farms for a first look out on the stone patio, before reading private vows to each other under a huge tree in the middle of a beautiful field. It was pretty amazing!!
We then took a trolley to the village of East Aurora where their names were on the Aurora Theater marquee. It was really fun and gave us a great reason to stop by some other favorite spots in EA, like Elm Street Bakery, Blue Eyed Baker, and MuseJar.
I’ll let these photos tell the rest of story of their wonderful day!! Keep an eye out for the beautiful florals by Flowers by Nature that included flowers from Joelle’s mother and grandmother’s gardens. I am always a fan of a first look on a wedding day. This allows the couple to see each other in a really special way that is just the two of them (plus me capturing it from a distance). It also lets them spend more time together on their wedding day, and I think that’s really nice since the day truly does fly by.
Another perk of a first look is that a lot of the photos can happen before hand. Joelle had planned time before the ceremony for wedding party photo and we even took some of the family photos beforehand which allowed for the couple to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests!
