Frequently Asked Questions
Can you provide my venue with a certificate of insurance?
My business is fully insured and I am happy to provide a certificate of insurance to your venue.
What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have backup equipment?
I use professional quality, Nikon cameras and lenses. I control all of my gear manually and I have back-up equipment, including multiple cameras, lenses etc.
What about a shot list? Should we give you one before the wedding?
About three weeks prior to your wedding date, I will email you my pre-wedding questionnaire. This includes a variety of questions that will provide me with all of the information I need to know for your big day. We will then schedule a time to chat via the phone to go over all of your final details. My clients choose me as their photographer because they love my style of capturing their day in a genuine and photojournalistic way, and they trust my artistic ability to do so. Because of this, I don’t normally receive shot lists above and beyond the information provided on the pre-wedding questionnaire.
Do you work with a second photographer?
All of the weddings you see featured on my website have been covered by me as a solo photographer, this is how I was trained, and I am very confident in my ability to tell the story of your wedding day as a single photographer. Of course, weddings do have many moving parts, and there are some occasions where a second photographer would be helpful. I am happy to discuss the pros and cons of adding on a second photographer with you and I do have the option to add on a second photographer if you’d like.
Do you edit all of the photographs? How many pictures will we receive?
Following your wedding, I personally hand edit each image from your wedding day. My editing style is very clean and can be reflected in the images you see on my website. My main focus is to create a cohesive gallery of final images that tells the story of your day. Because of this, I do not have a limit on how many photos you’ll receive from your wedding day. Final galleries consist of the strongest photos captured (I remove duplicates and unflattering captures such as closed eyes etc.) and the amount of photos depends on a variety of components such as the length of your coverage, the size of your bridal party, how many wedding guests you have etc. A typical gallery for eight hours of wedding coverage includes around 400-600 final photos. My goal is always quality over quantity and I pride myself in being able to create beautiful galleries of images that preserve your wedding day.
How long does it take before we receive our final photo gallery?
You will be able to view the online gallery of your finished photographs no longer than 6 weeks from your wedding date. You can expect to receive a package from me including the USB with the hi-resolution files about 2 weeks after your gallery is complete. My goal is to provide you with top quality wedding photography and a lot of time, energy and love goes into editing and finalizing your gallery. Of course, I am just as excited to share with you the photos I captured on your day, so as I work on them, I share sneak peeks on social media, so that you’ll be able to enjoy them as your gallery is being worked through.
Are we able to order prints?
You have the option to order professional quality prints via your password protected online gallery. You may also choose to share your gallery with your family and friends, giving them the option to order prints if they’d like.
How does the album design process work?
If you choose to order an album, I custom design each album for my clients. You’ll then have the opportunity to view the album proof online and to request any changes that you’d like. I’ve found it’s really beneficial to my clients for me to create the initial layout of their album and then to work with my client to customize the final product before editing.
