Wedding Location Guide

Park Club

Buffalo, NY and the surrounding areas have so many beautiful options for photos!! And you really can’t go wrong! Many of my couples choose photo locations based on the timeline of their day, and the location of their ceremony and reception. I’m always happy to brainstorm photo locations, so definitely reach out to me if you have questions, or would like additional ideas. This list is just a few ideas for photos!!

Ellicott Square Building

When choosing a location for your portraits keep in mind the size of your wedding party / family. Some spots in the city are really popular for pictures, even more so now that the Albright Knox Art Gallery is gated off for renovations. For weddings with larger groups, there are some really great spaces available for rent. This is a good option for staying on track with your timeline, having a space dedicated to just your photos, and an indoor location is always great incase of rain.

Curtiss Hotel + Vue Rooftop bar

Ideal lighting for outdoor photos is even light, and open shade. So as much as I love spots like the beautiful waterfront, it is a difficult location mid-day in the full sun. The lighting is very harsh. The locations I’m sharing below all have options for good lighting.

The City Hall

Here are a few favorite outdoor location ideas, The City Hall stairs, Cobblestone District, Delaware Park / Hoytt Lake, Knox Farms, Chestnut Ridge, Shea’s Theater under the marquee. The list goes on and on, and I really encourage you to choose a location that feels right for you two!!

Cragburn Golf Course

There are some really awesome options for renting space for your pictures. The rules and fees are different for each location. But I actually called each place and made sure that I had their updated info. If you are interested in any of these spaces, please reach out to the venue directly, and then let me know!
