Alexandra and Steven planned an absolutely stunning winter wedding in Buffalo, NY. The day began with bridal preparations at the brides brother’s home, in the beautiful and historic Colonial Circle in the city. We then traveled to the Hotel Lafayette for the bride and groom to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. I love when a couple chooses to see each other prior to the wedding. It is such an intimate moment and really allows them to enjoy the entire day together. After the “first look” I captured the bridal party photos, before heading to the church. Alexandra and Steven chose a historical and breathtaking church in the city of Buffalo, Trinity Church on Delaware Avenue. Their ceremony included live music, meaningful readings, and heartfelt vows. Following the ceremony, the bride and groom and their guest traveled right down the road to the Hotel Lafayette for a wonderful cocktail hour filled with great conversation, amazing appetizers (including a mashed potato bar!!) and a live band. This venue is such a treasured location and a true gem for an unforgettable wedding experience. Following the impressive cocktail hour, the bride and groom switched it up a bit from the traditional flow of the evening. Once they were announced into the reception room, they immediately had their first dance as a live band played the song “What a Wonderful World”. It was seriously such a perfect moment, one of many perfect moments from their day. The rest of the evening was full of dancing, wedding cake, speeches and an amazing dinner. It was a pleasure to capture Alexandra and Steven’s wedding. I hope they will look back fondly on the memories they have from this day, which have been preserved through their wedding photographs.
