My coverage for this wedding began as Laura prepared for her wedding day at her childhood home surrounded by two of her close friends, and her parents. She stood in her childhood bedroom as her mother helped her put on her beautiful dress. Once she was ready, Laura walked down the stairs to where her father was waiting to see her, for the very first time, as a bride. It was such a meaningful way to spend the morning of her wedding day. She then walked outside to where a vintage Rolls Royce was waiting to drive her to the church to be married. I loved this moment, because many of the neighbors came outside and stood on their front steps eagerly waiting to see the beautiful bride.
We arrived at Saint Peter and Paul church in Hamburg, NY where guests were arriving to witness Laura and David’s wedding ceremony. Throughout their Catholic wedding mass, I loved watching this sweet couple connect, whether they were holding hands, or smiling at each other, their joy was apparent. Their reception took place at the amazing Roycroft Inn in the village of East Aurora. I love photographing weddings at this historic venue. Each and every details is always so well thought out. Their guests enjoyed an extended cocktail hour while a live band played. It was a beautiful day, so the doors were open and guest were not only inside, but also outside on the covered peristyle.
I’ll let the photos continue to tell the story of this amazing wedding day. Congratulations Laura and Dave!
