I’ve been a mother for nearly ten years now. Crazy right!!? When I look back at the pictures I’ve taken of my two son’s over the years, I feel so grateful to have so many of their little details captured. Our children grow and change so quickly, and it’s the photos we have that help us to forever remember how little they once were.
As a photographer, I have a wide variety of styles of photographs of my family. And it’s always the authentic, and genuine images that are my favorites. Yes, I have cute pictures of my baby wrapped up and sleeping in a antique box. And I’ve taken many stylized newborn photos for clients in the past, but I’ve decided that the images that speak most to me (and to my clients) are the ones that show the details of a baby while being held in the arms of it’s mother. Or the brand new, flaky skin of a two week old who is wrapped in a swaddling blanket in the comfort of their own nursery.
These are the newborn photos that will withstand the test of time, and be appreciated for generations to come.
I’m excited to share a recent in-home, authentic newborn session with you today! I actually got tears in my eyes as I worked through these photos of this sweet family. I have been photographing them for years now. Capturing so many important milestones in their live, and it means so much to me to be trusted to forever preserve such wonderful moments for them.
