Madalyn and Brendan’s June wedding at Crag Burn Golf Club was one of those days that felt easy in the best way — classic, heartfelt, and filled with so much joy. Everything took place right on the property, from getting ready to their sunset reception under the tent, and the flow of the day just felt effortless.
They had the most amazing vendor team, led by Kathy Brown of Bushel & a Peck Events, who brought every detail together so beautifully. The design was timeless with a fresh, golf-inspired twist that fit the setting perfectly.
From the moment I started photographing their invitation suite, I knew this wedding was going to be special. The paper goods designed by Lily Kroencke and Madalyn herself featured a custom crest with crossed golf clubs — such a sweet nod to both of their families’ connection to the sport. Shades of green, pink, and soft floral accents carried through every detail, from the velvet monogrammed ring boxes to the stitched “Bride” and “Groom” chair signs tied with satin ribbon.
Guests were greeted by a “Let’s Par-Tee” golf ball seating wall that became an instant favorite. The tented reception space overlooked the course and was filled with natural light, patterned linens, and bright floral arrangements from Bushel & a Peck. Every element felt cohesive without ever feeling overdone — elegant, fun, and full of personality.
The morning started with hair and makeup by Salon Elizabeth and Jamie Ruggerio, and you could just feel the excitement building as everyone got ready. Madalyn shared a first look with her bridesmaids before heading to meet Brendan for theirs — both moments were full of emotion and pure happiness.
Their ceremony took place on the course, surrounded by the soft greens of Crag Burn and a warm summer breeze. Guests enjoyed live music from Sonic Rue during the ceremony and cocktail hour on the clubhouse patio, followed by dinner and dancing under the tent.
As the night went on, the dance floor stayed packed thanks to Sonic Rue, who also handled the DJ set after the live music wrapped up. It was the perfect blend of elegance and energy — laughter, happy tears, and nonstop celebrating.
Crag Burn has such a special feel — it’s peaceful, refined, and full of meaning for so many local families. The light, the views, and the understated architecture all photograph beautifully, but what makes it stand out is the warmth you feel when you’re there. Every time I shoot a wedding at Crag Burn, it feels like a celebration that could only happen in Western New York.
